DETERMINING STONE QUANTITIES AND TECHNICAL NOTES

In order to place an order, up to three components must be measured individually.

  1. WALL STONE - Multiply length x height and subtract openings.  Divide irregular areas into small rectangles.
  2. CORNER STONE - Measure the lineal feet of all outside corners. For every 10 lineal feet of corners used, subtract 5 square feet of wall stone.
  3. FLAGSTONES - For flagstones on the hearth or porch top, multiply the length x width to obtain the horizontal area.
  4. CAPS - Design wall/column thickness to a width compatible to the Alluriam caps.  The caps should extend beyond the built wall by 1-1/2" to 2" on all sides to allow for the thickness of the wall stone.

             INSTALLATION

  1. Apply flashing and 15# felt paper to waterproof the wall BEFORE applying the stone.
  2. Nail or Staple galvanized metal lath.
  3. Scratch coat if preparing for dry joint.
  4. Apply stone.  If applying to scratch coat, the scratch coat must be either FRESH or DAMP, never DRY.
  5. Grout and finish joints.
  6. Seal sides and tops of exposed structures such as retaining walls, blocks walls/columns, steps, patios.

FRESH VS. CURED STONE
There is a great deal of difference 
between fresh and cured Alluriam Stone.

If in doubt about a color, pieces may be quick cured in a conventional oven on a warm setting (about 150 degrees)

25 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Oak Mountain Products, Inc. warrants Alluriam Stone Wall Veneers for a period of 25 years against manufacturing defects when installed in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions.  Warranty coverage specifically excludes damage resulting from wall movement; settlement of a building; contact with chemicals, discoloration due to contaminates, staining or effervescence.  Warranty coverage is limited to the original purchaser.
